Installation of the Agilent ADS HIT-Kit (Unix)
General Information
- HIT-Kit v3.70 is qualified for Agilent EESof ADS 2004A
- Supported operating systems: Solaris 7/8/9, Redhat Linux 7.3 / EL3.0, Windows 2000 / XP
- The file you downloaded contains an encrypted version of the HIT-Kit
- You need to have a LICENSE FILE to be able to install the HIT-Kit
- The necessary LICENSE FILE can be generated via the internet
Generate License File:
- Log on to our technical web server at
http://asic.austriamicrosystems.com/cgi-sbin/cis/amslmd.cgi - This service is only available to registered users. If you are not
already registered,
click on the REGISTER button at http://asic.austriamicrosystems.com - Select available technologies
- Download license file
- Save received license file to disk
Installation
The installation of the HIT-Kit should be done by the library manager. Once the downloaded file containing the HIT-Kit is unpacked in a temporary directory:
- ./ams_install
- Prompt asks you to enter an <ams_root> directory
- Prompt asks you to enter the key-file name
- All files specified in the license file HK_license will now be installed in the 'ams_root' directory you entered
- File permissions of executables will be checked
Configuration of the HIT-Kit
After successful installation set up the environment variable $AMS_DIR using the command
- setenv AMS_DIR <ams_root>
Add $AMS_DIR/hpads/bin to your $PATH variable. These commands may be placed in your local .cshrc file or a generic start-up script so that it is always defined.
