About the HIT-Kit
The High Performance Interface Tool Kit (HIT-Kit) is a unique utility kit consisting of software programs and libraries which contain full frontend (symbol, schematic, simulation model) and backend (placement outlines, full layout) information for the development of digital, analog and mixed signal circuits in a Cadence Design Systems, Mentor Graphics or Synopsys CAE design environment.
To cover a wide range of hardware platforms, the HIT-Kit is available to the growing number of users in the mixed signal domain for PC, Sun and HP workstations.
Depending on the customer's design environment, needs and experience, several versions of the HIT-Kit are available.
HIT-Kit Versions
The process design kits cover the whole design phase from behavioral simulation, synthesis for digital parts of the ASIC, schematic capture, mixed-mode simulation, layout, design verification and back annotation.
The two basic design kits enable the complete design flow in a Cadence Design Systems' or Mentor Graphics' framework, whereas the Mixed Signal design kits include austriamicrosystems software to enable the integration of point tools in the design flow to add special functionality. The analog option enhances these kits to a multi-level mixed-signal design environment. A set of analog standard cells is integrated in this option.
The usage of the Mixed Signal HIT-Kits with analog option requires working expertise in mixed-signal design and adherence to the company design procedures.
Upon request our dedicated engineers assist customers in every stage from logic conversion through the tooling tape and test program generation. Furthermore, the easy to use HIT-Kit documentation together with the various data books and design manuals offer customers all the information required to successfully design digital and mixed-signal ASICs within the supported design environments.
