VREG8

8V-Regulator

Functional Description

VREG8 is a highly efficient supply voltage regulator for 8V circuits. It is designed to provide power supply for external circuits. Fast settling on load transients make this cell exceptionally suited for mixed signal ASICs. The high efficiency (load current to quiescent current ratio) is useful for low power applications.

This cells is planed to be used in combination with the cell VREG5.

The cell requires two high voltage supplys and a 5V supply, a reference voltage and a bias current, which are provided by the cell VREG5. Input and output voltage are referenced to the negative supply VSSA. Capacitive blocking is recommended to provide current paths for high frequency transients and to prevent oscillations.
