HSS101

High Side Switch

Functional Description

HSS101 is a high voltage high side switch for switching ohmic, inductive and capacitive loads.

The circuit includes current limiting, short current detection, gate voltage limiting, levelshifters and a short detection timing circuit. A small leakage current flows through the power transistor in the off state (ON = low). An internal 20k-resistor between OUT and VSSA discharges capacitive loads. The short current and the delay time are adjusted by the reference current IB1u.

The cell requires a single high voltage supply and a normal 5V digital supply and two bias currents.
